Keith Schmied founded County Roofing Systems and still runs it the same way he did in year one. He’s on-site for every project. Not occasionally. Not for the big ones. Every single one.
A native Long Islander, Keith has roofed homes in Huntington and Smithtown and (literally) everywhere in between. He’s replaced 40-year-old roofs on postwar capes in Levittown. He’s handled storm damage calls in Montauk and inspected flat roofs on commercial buildings from Melville to Patchogue.
Having said that, Keith doesn’t just show up to shake hands. He’s there to make sure the work meets his standards. He checks the installation. He walks the finished project with the homeowner. And if something needs to be redone, it gets redone before the crew leaves (the first time).
That kind of hands-on involvement is rare in this industry. Most roofing companies send a salesman to close the deal and a crew you’ve never met to do the work. That’s not how we operate.
